Background Map: Herald of the Ancestors

How nice it is to publish and share news.

Because of the long period of inactivity on this site, anyone would say that I abandoned all kinds of projects.

But no.

Here we continue working tirelessly on things that I don’t announce. I don’t know why, but I don’t publish news or notifications of “work in progress.” I just… don’t.

Now, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t any kind of work in progress, and this post is exactly about that. In these months I have been working on a new way of mapping and publishing the background of Herald of the Ancestors.

The process is slow and laborious, but satisfying. It has been a great effort to find a way to give more identity to my fictional universe, to endow it with unique qualities. Or, at least, qualities with which I can feel calm and satisfied.

The Background Map

Without further ado, here is the link to the Herald of the Ancestors Background Map.

It’s made with the Figma tool, and you can browse it at your leisure. It’s incomplete, though, but I’m working on it little by little.

It’s important to understand that this map is a tool, a guide, especially for me, who, as an author, sometimes needs to express ideas in some way that I can easily consult later.

It will be interesting to explore the Universe little by little, discovering what details I need to polish, and what stories I can tell.
