Who is Cornelius Westerfield?
This is something that is not asked. Everyone in and around Amerisia is well aware of Cornelius Westerfield, the police chief who founded and commanded the Decuria, a special police force composed of ten chiefs, including himself. With the Decuria, Westerfield dismantled the most dangerous smuggling operation in Amerisia’s history, destroying the McEwan family’s gangster empire.
Married to the famous international model Anabella Zhu, Cornelius is the spitting image of success and triumph. Everyone wants to be like him and everyone wants to be with him.
But Westerfield’s life is not perfect. He supposedly has an adopted son that no one knows about; Zhu is sterile but they claim they chose to adopt rather than have a natural child.
At least, all this is what Cornelius and his staff would have you believe. Behind the mask of perfection lies an almost unhealthy obsession with Amerisia that goes beyond the patriotism and nationalism with which he sells himself to his voters.
Westerfield is far from perfect, and hides secrets that only Eric Miller and Elias Ricci know.
This does not detract from the fact that the Governor of Amerisia wants to end his days supervising the colossal monument that will be erected in his memory.
