Inside is the spiritual and direct successor to Limbo, and as we did with Psychnoauts, we played the two games back-to-back for a complete analysis of Playdead’s trajectory.
While Inside doesn’t double the bet (after all, in its mechanics it’s basically the same game as Limbo), it does show us a darker plot than its predecessor and a more elaborate graphical flow. In addition to a camera handling and composition vastly superior to Limbo.
Inside is also more extensive than Limbo, and perhaps with more elaborate and difficult puzzles. Undoubtedly playing them one after the other is a wise decision and an experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to call himself a gamer. And for game designers they are a “must read”.
I leave you the link to the analysis and look forward to your comments!
