April arrived, and with that came the promise: to slow down a bit the design to dedicate ourselves to something more visual. The initial idea was to start creating the assets for the game, but we realized that first we needed to give shape to the ideas we had had at the beginning.
In this first meeting, what we did was to create the initial sketches for one of the Bosses, “Shadow of Doubt”. The name is a reference to both World of Warcraft and Magic The Gathering… although it seemed like a pretty simple name for a boss with references to self-doubt and imposter syndrome.
All the boss mechanics revolve around clones, imposters and trying to make the right decision. Come to think of it, none of the mechanics are about not hesitating or making decisions quickly, without hesitation. Well, nothing is set in stone yet, so there is still time to add, remove, replace and tweak.
