In this transmission we continued with the Moodboard, with the idea of getting ready the character concepts that we are going to use in the Vertical Slice of the game.
I think the best moment of this video is when the Moodboards start “talking” to me, giving me wonderful ideas for the fight mechanics of each boss and mini boss.
As I always say, the creative process has no single path to follow. Sometimes a mechanic reveals to us how the character design has to be; other times, like this one, it’s the other way around.
But, who’s to say, maybe when designing each fight, I’ll come up with something new for the character’s visual art.
I think it’s more of an organic thing, they complement each other. Nothing is set in stone until you click the “publish” button, so to speak.
