If there is a game that deserves to be played in its entirety before being analyzed, it is Inscryption. Because, surprise surprise, the game starts… in the middle? Something like that, I wouldn’t be so sure.
I can’t give too many explanations without falling into massive spoilers. I can warn you that the Podcast has a lot of Spoilers, because I really fell in love with the design and narrative of Inscryption, and I couldn’t stop talking about the game.
After playing it I found out, confirming my suspicions, that there was a whole Alternative Reality Game or ARG around Inscryption, which I think is wonderful. I always like ARGs, they kind of add an air of mystery to things. And in this case, yes it is quite a mystery what revolves around Inscryption and the company that created it.
Also, the character of Luke represents everything you are and the love you have for card games. I thought that was beautiful and very well embodied by Kevin Saxby, who plays the character.
